Analysis of cyberbullying on Instagram
More than 50% of teenagers in the United States faced cyberbullying, especially while using Instagram, because it is a platform with an option of commenting, which is visible for everyone. According to Hosseinmardi et al., 2015, Instagram has become one of the 5 networks with the highest percentage of people, who are victims of bullying. This paper also explains the labelling process, gives examples, tables. They came up with the idea that cyberbullying and cyberaggression appear differently based on content of the post. Based on their experience, they realised that over the half of media sessions were labeled as cyberbullying.
I find this article interesting because it helps to see all the hidden details about bullying on Instagram and show statistics upon labelled cases of cyberagression. Also, they observe the nature of haters, which means, they check the "temporal nature of comment postings and cyberbullying". If you want to know will the bully repeat his nasty comment, when and what is the reason for it, you should check and read this article properly.
